Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description
General Responsibilities of an RN include:
• Carry out Physician Orders.
• Perform initial evaluation visit, initiates the Plan of Care and regularly reevaluate the client’s nursing needs.
• Provide continued Nursing Assessment.
• Report changes in client’s condition to the Doctor or Nursing Supervisor.
• Provide Family/Patient Teaching and support.
• Administer and monitor medications including infusion therapy.
• Monitor and maintain all indwelling lines and life support devices.
• Provide Specialized Wound Care.
• Provide services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skills in accordance with Physician’s Plan of Care.
• Provide Pain Management.
• Observe, record, and report reaction to treatment and any changes in a client’s condition to the Physician or other appropriate personnel.
Trach and vent experience is helpful.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Job Description
General Responsibilities of an LPN include:
• Report directly to Physicians and RNs about changes in client’s condition such as adverse reactions to medication or treatments, and take any necessary actions.
• Administer and monitor medications, except IV medications (Must be IV Certified to start IV fluids).
• Provide health teaching and support to clients and their families.
• Supervise nursing aids.
• Evaluate nursing intervention outcomes, conferring with other health-care team members as necessary.
• Perform procedures such as dressing wounds.
• Assemble and use equipment such as catheters, trecheotomoy tubes and oxygen suppliers under the supervision of an RN.
• Monitor patient’s vital signs.
• Help clients with their ADLs such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and dressing.
• Assist with exercise and maintain the client’s home and care equipment.
Trach and vent experience is helpful.
